Don’t Waste Another Minute Doing This

by

Today, as I was taking my morning walk, I was thinking of how every step is moving me forward and what’s behind me is history.

I’ve known that every minute is precious and we should make the most of it. However, this morning was different. I don’t think I ever really noticed that every minute our body changes as well. Not only are we evolving by expanding our minds but our bodies are no longer the same as in the last minute.

Yeah, I believe we all know we age daily. But to drill down to minutes, put things in a different light. Once that minute has passed, you can’t get it back. That’s exactly why we should make the most of each moment and be mindfully present.

My mom had a stroke a few years ago. Although she bounced back rather well, she’s still not quite the same as before. Yes, there are times we all get frustrated with the hand that has been dealt to us. But last night, while we were out riding, she was laughing and having a good time just talking and spending time with us. I put the phone down and focused on her and my family.

I have friends that have lost their mothers and I’m sure they would love to have a moment just like one I had last night. Practicing mindfulness has made a huge impact on my life and those around me. I encourage you to try it out for yourself. If you’re interested in getting started, let me know. I would love to give you a jumpstart.
