My Spirituality is the Foundation for How I Live, Love, and Lead

Most successful people you know and see on TV have a spiritual practice that guides them and many will contribute that practice to their success.  I used to believe that spirituality and business didn’t mix.  I was completely wrong.

Today, I take on very few challenges in my life and business without consulting my spiritual compass first.  I have more success now than I’ve ever had before. Having that center of reason and understanding gives me the courage to make difficult choices in life especially during times like these.

Although I am sometimes intimidated by the outcome, I build confidence by trusting in my source of guidance.

A big part of my spirituality is tied to the values that I live, love, and lead by.  Honesty, open-minded, accountability, service, just to name a few.  Those guide me unfailingly, so I rely on them as my direction as they keep me aligned with who I am, now more than ever.

Whenever I choose to follow the source of my direction, I’m at peace. Even feelings of sadness drift away as I know that my choice comes from a positive place with positive intention.

“Before starting each day, I express gratitude for the guidance received. Connecting with my spiritual center energizes me, provides balance and gives me hope.”

Even the hardest situations become manageable because I know that I am led by a power higher than myself. I trust in its ability to protect me when I am in danger. It uplifts me when I am down. It guides me when I’m feeling lost.  I am truly thankful for the spiritual foundation.

As a business owner, it is a blessing to be a believer in something more powerful than my humanity. I sense my spiritual guidance at work in my life, both personally and professionally, so I am able to operate from a place of love and compassion, especially in my business,  instead of guilt and fear.

Leadership Self Reflection Questions:

  1. How does my spirituality manifest itself in tough work situations?
  2. What are some of the most important values that I aim to live by?
  3. What part does spiritual awareness play in my end-of-day reflection?
